Nuraghe Conca 'e Bentu

Nuraghe Conca 'e Bentu

Nuraghi are the ancient, distinguishing face of Sardinia They are genuine castles, built in stone, divided into several towers, corridors, and villages.

The nuraghe Conca 'e Bentu can be reached following the signs to Solità and continuing along a dirt track. Another access point is the road to Muriscuvò: past a farm hotel on the right, you will find a gate. Enter here and continue along the uphill path that will take you through breath-taking surroundings, up to the archaeological site at the top of the hill, where there is also a stunning view of the Budoni coastline.

Conca 'e Bentu is a nuraghe built on a rocky outcrop. The entrance faces northeast and is a very irregular megalithic construction, built in schist granite rocks. It is still possible to see the keep with architraved entrance and an area on the left that probably contained the stairs to the upper floor. Inside are two covered niches, dug into the northwest and southeast walls. Nowadays, many of the details are no longer easily visible to visitors since the nuraghe is partially covered in vegetation.
