Cave Gana 'e Gortoe - Siniscola
In the heart of the hamlet of Siniscola, in Via Olbia, is the stunning cave of Gana ’e Gortoe.
Along the little path to the site, it is possible to visit the “Giardino dei Pensieri”, a lovely walk through to the cave.
The cave itself has a wide entrance that narrows into a tunnel, where it is necessary to crawl for a few metres.
After this, it opens up and follows the bed of the river, which for a large part of the year can be walked, due to the low water levels.
The route inside the cave has been explored thoroughly by speleologists and consists of spaces that have been eroded and moulded by water, into areas of different widths, and karst pools with stalactites and stunning rock formations.
The visit lasts 1 hour.
