Nuraghe Su Entosu
Nuraghe Su Entosu
The nuraghe Su Entosu is in the countryside of Ottiolu and can be reached in around half an hour, along a medium difficulty path. At the top of a hill, it is possible to see the remains of a single-tower nuraghe, built on a granite rock, which in some parts, is an integral part of the containment wall. This was most certainly a watchtower, which still looks out over the island of Tavolara and the area of Capo Ceraso.
Su Entosu means "Il Ventosoā€¯ [the Windy One]: built on a granite outcrop, the inside of the nuraghe is filled with earth and large blocks that were part of the walls. It is still possible to see about two metres of wall, with the blocks in position from the original construction.
